CFB Halifax captures Club Mixed

First ever Nova Scotia Club Mixed Curling Championship was awarded to the CFB Halifax Curling Club. The new NSCA event brings the ideals of the Dominion Club Championships to Mixed curling. The event is designed for the average club curler.

The David Dingwell Rink fended off the 23 other teams in the championship to capture the inaugural Club Mixed. Dave was a member of the 2009 NS Dominion Men's Club Championship team. Dave was joined by Pam Cortello, Anthony Purcell, and Amy Goulden.

The Dingwell foursome showed their grit by adjusting to the ice condintions at four of the five Central Region clubs. Their record in the Championship was an impressive 6 - 1.

In the final, Dingwell defeated Bridgewater's Chris West. The game was close. In the seventh end, Dignwell stole 4 points to seal the championship and the 10 - 2 victory.
